Certainly a special order piece, the present watch is the only publically known example of this reference with the special dial made for the King Khalid Military Academy, National Guard of Saudi Arabia, furthermore it is preserved in excellent overall condition, the gold Rolex Jubilee bracelet complements it perfectly.

Reference 16258 is a rare and unusual model of Datejust only made in small numbers at the end of the 1970s and early 1980s. Its distinctive feature is the unusual solid metal calibrated bezel reminiscent of the famous Rolex “thunderbird” bezels of the 1950s. It is powered by the Rolex caliber 3035 movement introduced in 1977.
This very rare, striking and attractive watch is a must for any collector of Middle Eastern logo timepieces.
