Lot Essay
The present example is a remarkable and original specimen of the Ref. A277 from the first series. Reference A277 was introduce in 1960s. Contrary to the second series, the first series feature blued hands for the three-subsidiary dials and no luminous material on the chronographic second hand. The second series is recognizable by the Cal. 146HP, the bronzed hand for the subsidiary dial and a luminous chronographic second hand.

The case with good proportion has been professionally polished. The bezel has faded and has shown of wear throughout. The case back with surface scratches. The dial appears to be original and has developed patina with some spotting from the age. The luminous accents and hands are original and are reacting to UV light but does not glow for a prolonged period. The crown appears to be original signed with the Zenith star symbol. The chronograph is working at the time of cataloguing. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
