ABOUT THE WINE
Araujo Estate dedicates a large portion of its 38 acre Eisele vineyard, which has been organically farmed since 1998 and soon thereafter began being farmed bio-dynamically, to its Cabernet Sauvignon, its flagship wine which represents the culmination of its efforts. Small lots of grapes are transported to the winery within minutes of being picked, where they are sorted, moved without pumping, and aged in French oak barrels kept in the depths of a cave complex designed by Araujo specifically to vinify only Eisele Vineyard grapes, wherein the temperature and humidity are ideal for the ageing of wine.

Layla's Pick
A nearly perfect vertical of the Araujo’s prized Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from 1994 through 2004 is a rare find. The vineyard, with its low-yielding, mineral-rich soils makes wines that please both Robert Parker as well as fans of a more restrained, Old World approach.
