ABOUT THE WINE
This vineyard's history extends back to the middle ages, when the estate's grapes were cultivated by monks. In the subsequent years, the property was divided and went into the possession of the Duffau-Lagarrosse family who are the present owners. The vineyard's 7 hectars produces 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, located in the Right Bank of Bordeaux. The production of wine is placed in barriques for 18 months and is bottled unfiltered. With the expertise of Nicolas Thienpont and Stephane Derenoncourt, the wine has turned to a robust full-bodied wine with deep fruit flavors. With six to seven years of aging, the shows itself beautifully.
