ABOUT THE WINE
The winery is located in the Right Bank of Bordeaux in the appelation of Pomerol. Its 7.2 hectares produce 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. It is particularly known for its soil diversity consisting of gravel mixed with clay, black clay and the presence of iron pan in the subsoil, which leads to a rich and complex wine after bottling. During the 18th century the winemakers coined the name Trotanoy or Trop Ennuie (which means "too annoying" in English) to describe the challenges the soil presented to the cultivation of the wines.
