ABOUT THE WINE
One of the most luxurious wines in all of Australia. Since its first vintage in 1964 this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon varietal bottling has represented a highpoint of achievement across the entire Penfolds range. This multi-regional blend, from across South Australia is the consummate expression of Aussie power and grace. Its core vineyards hail from Barossa Valley, Coonawarra, Padthaway, Robe and Wrattonbully regions. After stainless steel tank fermentation, the 707 completes its fermentation in 100 percent new American oak barrels. Since 1976, the blueprint for Bin 707 largely models itself after the methods established under Bin 95 Grange. It is the source of fruit and varietal character that brings 707 its mark of identity. This style, nearly 40 years in the making, relies significantly on a combination of cool and warm climate Cabernet Sauvignon to achieve greatness. Today, Bin 707 is one of Australia’s most recognized iconic wine and is rated “Exceptional” by Langton’s Classification of Australian Wine, the same as given to Grange.
