ABOUT THE WINE
Bowmore sits on the edge of Loch Indaal in central Islay. Bowmore is one of the few distilleries on the island who still keeps a malting room, where the barley is malted and then bathed in peat smoke. Bowmore is a distillery where tradition matters. The style of Bowmore is one of fragrant peat smoke which influences, rather than dominates. Fruit, toffee and faint notes of peat characterize the nose and a deep, long fruitiness, the palate. Older expression of Bowmore are highly attractive to collectors.
