ABOUT THE WINE
Like many of the other vineyards in Vosne- Romanée, Richebourg originally belonged to the monastery of Cîteaux. Today it is shared by a small handful of the region's best proprietors, with the largest holding belonging to to the renowned Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. The vines of Richebourg average 45 years in age with many dating back to the original replanting after the War. Each of the the various factors which influence a wine's character and flavor unite flawlessly in the wines of Richebourg, which are celebrated as sumptuous, opulent, and marvelously enduring. Indeed it is unquestionably the greatest non-monopoly grand cru of Vosne.
