Noah's Pick
These days Caymus Special Selection can be a little front forward and alcoholic, I’ve tasted older vintages, and the wines soar – power tempered with elegance.

ABOUT THE WINE
For more than three decades, the name Caymus has been synonymous with the opulence, grace and depth of flavor that great Californian Cabernet Sauvignon can provide. Founded in 1972 by Charles Wagner, Lorna Belle Glos Wagner and their son Charles Wagner Jr., on the family's Rutherford property, their first Cabernet Sauvignon was made from the 1972 vintage. Their first Special Selection was made in 1975 and was selected from only the best grapes on the property. As a general rule, the Special Selection has higher tannin content, making it a more age-worthy wine.
