ABOUT THE WINE
Knockando hails from Speyside and more specifically, The Ben Rinnes Cluster. Knockando was founded in 1898 by John Thomson as the Knockando-Glenlivet Distillery Company. The traditional distillery buildings, complete with a pagoda roof, lie in the town of the same name overlooking the River Spey. The name derives from the Scottish Gaelic ‘cnoc an dhu’ or ‘little black hill’. The style of whisky is light and fresh, with nutty flavor character and some citric notes. With age, chocolate and malt character come into play.
