About the Auction

Christie’s Wine Department are delighted to introduce the first online auction of 2018. Our spring sale features a broad range of exceptional wines and spirits from notable collections. The sale opens with a magnificent offering of rare Biondi Santi, Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, arguably the most lauded of all Tuscan wines and then moves through into sections of superb Bordeaux including an array of modern legends. Bottles of Lafleur 1982 and Petrus 1982 vie for attention next to a full case of Latour 1982, before the sale focus on some of Burgundy’s loftiest vineyards, like Roumier’s Musigny and Bonnes-Mares, and Ponsot’s legendary Clos de la Roche Vieilles Vignes. Finally, rare spirits add a thrilling dimension to this sale. The Glenlivet’s legendary “The Winchester” 1964 and Glenfiddich Rare Collection 1978 lead a fine selection of Single Malt whisky alongside rare bottles of Karuizawa and historic cognac.
