ABOUT THE WINE
Beaulieu Vineyard, French for 'beautiful place', is rooted in the benchlands of Rutherford in the Napa Valley. Beaulieu has been making wine in California since the turn of the century when Frenchman Georges De Latour founded it in 1900. The splendid estate, was modeled after the great French Châteaux George admired and is still beautifully kept with towering trees, scenic gardens and panoramic views of the western foothills. Their flagship wine, the much-heralded BV Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, has been among the most prestigious wines produced in California for nearly 70 years. Its long and distinguished reputation dates back to its first vintage in 1936. It remains firmly among the finest in Napa Valley.
