ABOUT THE WINE
The estate is planted with 65 Cabernet Sauvignon, 20 Merlot and 15 Cabernet Franc. The soil which is up to 5 meters deep consists of gravel mixed with sand, limestone and clay. The vineyard is enclosed by a white limestone wall (called clos in Burgundy), which is unusual for Bordeaux. The wines are fermented for between 2 and 3 weeks at 28 to 30 degrees centigrade in 100 hectolitre stainless steel vats and then aged in oak barriques (approximately half are new oak) for between 18 and 20 months.
