ABOUT THE WINE
Chateau Kirwan is currently owned by the Schÿler family. It was highly praised by Thomas Jefferson in his book "Thomas Jefferson on Wine", addressing Kirwan in the second category along with “Ségur” and “Lynch”. It is listed as a third growth under the 1855 classification. Cabernet Sauvignon makes up 45% of the plantings and Pyrenean gravel covers the Cantenac Plateau. The terroir is expressed perfectly in the bottle with remarkable fruit flavors and an elegant finish.
