ABOUT THE WINE
A winery appropriately situated between Clinet and Clos l'Eglise, Château L'Eglise-Clinet currently ranks as one of Pomerol’s best, most sought-after producers. Winemaker Denis Durantou, who has been running the 5.5 hectare plot since 1982, blends an assemblage of about 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, which is then vinified in a combination of concrete and stainless steel vats, before being laid to rest in small new oak barriques for 18 months.
