Layla's Pick
While 1978 is a legendary vintage in Burgundy, it was a much more difficult year to make wine in Bordeaux. Wine writer Harry Waugh dubbed it the "miracle vintage" because for the entirety of the growing season, producers were expecting the worst. Luckily, a perfect September saved the vintage, producing some incredible, archetypal wines. These are great values for fans of classic Claret.
