Château Palmer 1961
Cantenac (Margaux), 3ème cru classé
Level: mid shoulder; lightly bin soiled label
1 bottle per lot

ABOUT THE WINE
Château Palmer is considered the finest estate in the Margaux appellation second to Château Margaux. Classified as a 3eme Cru Classe, it is considered one of the 'Super Seconds' of Bordeaux. The Château is named after British officer, Major General Charles Palmer, who moved to Bordeaux in 1814. Palmer's Merlot content is higher than others of the appellation, so it resembles many of the top wines of Medoc like Pomerol and St-Émilion.
