ABOUT THE WINE
Château Pape Clement was planted in 1200 AD, which makes it the oldest panted vineyard within the Pessac-Léognan, Bordeaux region. The very first harvest took place in 1252 under Bertrand de Goth who then became pope in 1305 and took the name Celement V. Covering 30 hectares, the red is made up of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot while the white, which covers just 2.5 hectares, is made up of Semillon Sauvignon and Muscadet. Today, this historic Château utilizes drones to monitor their vines.
