ABOUT THE WINE
Romanée-Conti, as the local proverb goes, “is the central pearl of the Burgundian necklace.” This minuscule vineyard gives its name to the most famous Domaine in the world, commonly referred to as 'D.R.C.' or, more reverentially, as The Domaine. In 1868 the vineyard passed to the de Villaine family and is still, today, managed by Aubert de Villaine. There is little that can be said that would adequately venerate the vineyard of Romanée -Conti, the precision and complexity of its wines and the romantic alchemy of it all. At the pinnacle of the great vineyards of the region, Romanée-Conti stands above all as one of the world's finest, rarest and most expensive wines. The walled vineyard produces wines of such majesty that its history has evolved into legend, making it one of the most talked about wines on earth.
