The magnificent story of Heitz, Martha's Vineyard Cabernet began in 1965 with an historic handshake deal. In 1966 Joe Heitz produced a wine so distinctive and stunning that the two families boldly added the name of the vineyard to the label, as the first vineyard-designated wine in the Napa Valley.
