ABOUT THE WINE
From its earliest experimental days (1951; 1952 first commercial release) Bin 95 Grange “Hermitage” was ever the maverick bucking the wine making styles of the day. Unlike today, aging wines in small, Bordeaux like barrels, was unheard of in Australia 1952. With time to experiment, and additional harmony from bottle aging this “secret” wine became less so. Grange continues to be one of the most luxurious wines in all of Australia.

Richard's Pick
Finding bottles of Penfolds Grange is already difficult as it is made is small quantities. Grange is one of the few Australian wines that ages gracefully for decades and magnums of Grange is the perfect size. At a little over 20 years of age, this 1994 vintage is just approaching maturity but in magnum could be cellared for many more years.
