Lot Essay
The biscuit barrel to the right of the present image, painted in 'Circle Tree' pattern, features colored circles amongst sharp and stylized tree trunks. The brash brushstrokes used to create this pattern add a raw and exciting quality. It is likely that Clarice produced this pattern inspired by the fabrics, posters and art of Sonia Delaunay.

The 'Circle Trees' example in very good condition with just some minor frits around the orange rim, possibly in the making. The 'Butterflies' example restored overall to the body and cover. The bowl in very good condition with just some extremely tiny frits and the occasional scratch as to be expected.
