The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged periodically at the edges to the backing board and undulates slightly. The sheet has shifted slightly in tone. Artist's pinholes are to the corners. Minor wear and soft creases are occasionally to the edges and corners, and a tiny loss to the support is to the upper left corner-tip. Slight discoloration is to the left upper edge. Tiny drying cracks, some with associated pinpoint losses, are infrequent, and a tiny loss is to a red painted passage near the center left edge. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
