The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Hexagonal saucer:
- tiny frits and a hairline crack to the mouth rim
- several chips to the foot rim
- burst glaze bubbles to the base
Stem cup:
- frits and chips to the rim
- two short firing cracks and a few small kiln grit adhesion to the reticulated panels
- foot possibly polished
Octagonal saucer:
- slightly warped
- small chip to the mouth rim with associated hairline cracks
- other small frits to the mouth rim
- firing crack, visible on both sides
- minor kiln grit adhesions to the foot rim
