The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Teapot:
-chips to inner mouth rim and end of spout
-crack to base of the handle
-small glaze gap and firing cracks to base
-burst glaze bubbles
-surface scratches and wear to enamels and gilding
-glaze gaps and kiln grit adhesions to the interior
-losses to the glaze on the finial on the cover
-glaze gaps and a hairline crack to the interior of the cover
Cup:
-chips and two hairline cracks to mouth rim
-wear and flakes to enamels
-glaze gaps and burst glaze bubbles to base
Saucer:
-one hairline crack to mouth rim
-firing crack to the center
-glaze gaps and scattered dots of enamel to the exterior
-surface abrasion and minor flakes to enamels
