A FAMILLE ROSE AND RUBY-ENAMELED CUP AND SAUCER; TOGETHER WITH A RUBY-GROUND BOWL
YONGZHENG PERIOD (1723-1735)
The cup and saucer is decorated with shaped panels enclosing peonies, butterflies, finger citrons, gourds and peaches, alternating with roundels of blue-enameled peonies, all reserved on a gilt-decorated composite floral scroll ground, the cup ruby-enameled on the interior and the saucer on the exterior; together with a famille rose ruby-ground bowl.
Cup and saucer 4 ½ and 2 ¾ in. (11.4 and 7 cm.) diam.
Bowl 4 ½ in. (11.4 cm.) diam.
