The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
First:
- chips to edges and extremities, particularly to the tail, one ear and the flower
- restoration to another ear
- loss to one whisker
- one section of the base restuck, another section filled/restored
- glaze gaps and flakes throughout
Second:
- restoration to one eye and one ear
- chips to edges and extremities
- loss to receptacle
- some firing cracks, glaze gaps and flakes throughout
