The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
First cup and saucer:
- both appear to be in overall good condition
- saucer with a glaze gap to the base
Second cup and saucer:
- cup with tiny nicks to rims and a hairline crack to mouth rim
- saucer with a few burst glaze bubbles
- saucer with minor chips and kiln grit adhesions to the foot rim
Single saucer:
- chips to the mouth rim, one with an associated hairline crack
- rubbing to gilding
- burst glaze bubbles to the exterior
- several chips to the foot rim
