The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description, the full sheet, the colors still fresh and vibrant, this work has been conserved, two short skillfully repaired tears at the sheet edges, a pale moisture stain at the upper left sheet edge, pinholes in places at the sheet corners, hinge remains on the reverse lower left and right sheet edges, with brown Metropolitan Museum of Art collection (L. 1943) and Metropolitan Duplicate (L. 5212) stamps on linen affixed to the reverse of the frame, otherwise in generally very good condition.
