The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The candelabra: Overall good condition; some light wear to the gilding and minor surface wear; a few small rubbed spots to the glaze; the fangs possibly restored; a few typical faint glaze lines; one model with a faint hairline crack (approx 2.5 in.) to the base rim near the lion's rear foot; the other with a small firing flaw to the base in the same area; some waxy candle residue, mainly to the lion's arms and to some of the candle nozzles and drip pans. The mounts with some light tarnishing. Present well.
The pedestals: Various knocks, scuffs, marks, scratches, dents and abrasions consistent with age and use. Structurally sound. Throughout with wear, rubbing and minor losses to the painted decoration.
