The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The sheet is hinged at the corners to the backing board and undulates very slightly. The edges of the sheet are deckled, and a crease is to the upper left corner. A few faint horizontal impressions are to the upper edge. Tiny accretions are occasional, some presumably studio-related. Visible under raking light, soft scuffs are infrequent. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
