Born in New York City in 1949, Vera Wang became the youngest Vogue fashion editor and stylist at age 23, a role she held for sixteen years before moving to Ralph Lauren to serve as design director. Wang opened her own flagship store on Madison Avenue in 1990, where she revolutionized the bridal industry with her innovative designs and refined detailing. Since then she has won numerous awards and greatly expanded into numerous related fields, helping to design bedding, eyewear, crystal, tablewares, and flatware, such that offered here.

Overall with some minor scuffs and scratches consistent with age, use, and storage, the spoons with some very minor wear to the edges of the bowls, one teaspoon with some minor salt stains to the bowl, the forks with some wear to the end tines and tips, the dinner knives and butter spreaders all with Towle stainless steel blades and hollow handles, the wooden box painted in red, black, and gold with borders of flowers and leaves, with a lift-up top and one drawer, all with patinated bronze pulls and a handle to each side, fitted and lined in black felt, though without dedicated space for each piece type, with some wear, nicks, and scratches to the exterior, and minor wear to the interior, as to be expected, overall good condition.
