The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In good condition, some creasing and chips to slip covers where present
1. Pavlovsk: Les Collections and Le palais et le parc by various authors – slip cover with one side detached but overall good condition, hard covers with some chips and wear to edges indicative of average use
2. The Hermitage State: Masterpieces from the Museum’s Collections, Volume 1 & 2 by various authors – slip cover with some dents and chips, volume 1 – dust jacket with some crinkles, interior in good condition volume 2 – dust jacket with tears and creases, some interior pages detaching from spine but overall held together
3. Russian Splendor: Sumptuous fashions of the Russian Court by various authors – dust jacket with small chips and creases, interior in good condition
4. Imperial Palaces in the vicinity of Saint Petersberg, four volumes – slip cover cloth with some fraying at edges, four volumes include: Tsarskoe Selo, Pavlovsk, Gachina and Peterhof – external hard cover in average condition with some indents and creasing, interiors in good condition
5. Vues du palais d’Hiver – slip cover with some scratches to the surface, hardcover and interior in good condition
6. The Winter Palace: Saint Petersberg – slipcover with tear to hinge with some surface scratches and stains, hardcover and interior in good condition
