The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas is supported on the reverse with a canvas lining. Some surface soiling as to be expected with age. With minor frame abrasion. Overall with fine lines of craquelure, most notably to the areas with thickest impasto. Examined under ultraviolet light. With scattered areas of minor touch-ups, most notably to the water along lower left edge and below the two central sailboats and to the sky at upper left, and at right side just above the horizon.
