THE LACE LATE 17TH CENTURY

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The lace with some minor age discoloration, particularly towards the top. A few minor scattered snags and tears. Overall good, stable condition. The pieced ground with some uneven fading/discoloration to the reverse.

Please note antique textiles exhibit wear, losses, soiling and tears from normal use and repurposing. Some elements are re-pieced together with complimentary or contemporaneous textiles to mend.
