The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The body in good overall condition with minor intrinsic imperfections, in the making, including minor black kiln specks and scattered small areas of overfiring; the interior with some staining; the cover previously in pieces and repaired, with touch-up to the enamels at the exterior and an illegible inscription over the restored interior; the finial replaced, a minute chip to its pointed end; overall with some scratches and wear, consistent with age and handling.
