The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In good overall condition with scattered minor kiln flaws, including some glaze gaps, in the making; the gilding throughout with scattered areas of rubbing and loss; the jar and cover each with a moderate amount of crazing to their interiors and exteriors, on the jar's exterior graduating in density to form a network of fine craquelure around the base, the crazing to the interior with some staining; several hairline cracks to the interior, one with an old 'staple' repair, the repair not apparent from the exterior; a tiny chip to the knop on the cover; the rim of the cover with a fine hairline crack (approx. 1 in. long).
