As noted likely originally the covers for butter dishes; With some light surface wear and scattered fritting, mainly to the high points; Some very small chips to the base rim; Both with restoration and associated losses and overpaint to the head and beak; One with the restoration to the tip of the beak, now crumbling, and both wings; The other with further restoration and associated overpaint to the neck and its right wing, also with a faint hairline crack to the rim, approx. 1 in.; Both with a printed Ann and Gordon Getty Collection label inscribed 1990-231 in black ink and with another old paper label.
