The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Each overall with some minor rubbing, pulls and discoloration to the needlework. A few scattered areas of later repairs. The Abduction of Proserpina with some splits, including to the horse's blue blanket, and the lower left ground. Some minor areas of discoloration such as to the abdomen of the Cupid and chest of Proserpina and a few minor losses revealing stuffing beneath, such as to Proserpina's dress. All backed in a mustard linen. Bacchus and Venus in overall stable condition; backed in a sage green linen with some uneven sun lightening. Both present well and ready to place.
