Both presenting well overall, with scattered areas of fine craquelure to the clear glaze, some scratches and wear throughout, consistent with age and handling. Further details about each group enumerated below.
The group with a black polka-dotted cow: a loss to the cow's proper left horn and another tiny loss to the tip of one teat; a few scattered chips and glaze flakes throughout, including a tiny flake to one of the calf's ear-tips and a shallow chip to the lower edge of the base, beneath the cow's hind legs.
The group with a variously-spotted cow: restoration to the brim of the milkmaid's bonnet; a few small glaze flakes throughout, the largest (approx. 9 mm. x 5 mm.) to the cow's proper right side; a shallow chip to the lower edge of the base, beneath the cow's hind legs, and two hairline cracks to the edge of the base beneath the cow's front legs.
