Marks legible though slightly worn by the rubbing of the cover.
The lining appears to be a resin. Natural imperfection in the aventurine glass.
The case with silk lining in cover stained and with tear, also missing around the side; the base lined with velvet slightly frayed at the rim. The outer leather with some scuff marks. The cover very slightly loose on the hinge.
