Le décor de cette boîte peut être attribué à Carlo Carlieri (actif à l'Opificio de 1802 à 1819) et dont le style introduit à l'Opificio par le peintre Antonio Cioci (1722-1792) est en réponse aux retours des compositions néoclassiques très prisées sous l'ère napoléonienne.
