SIMMONS, Gene (b. 1949). Autograph note signed ("Gene $immons") to Donna Summer [n.p., n.d, circa 1980-1985]

One page on the reverse of a "Happy Holidays" postcard bearing a bust portrait of Simmons "bleeding" from the mouth.

Holiday greetings from one pioneer Casablanca artist to another. A marvelous association piece linking two of Casablanca's great successes: the band Kiss, the first act to sign with Neil Bogart in late 1973, and Donna Summer, arguably the label's most lucrative signing. Simmons writes, "Donna — All my best for continued health, happiness & success — You're wonderful" and adding his familiar "dollar sign" signature.
