Lot Essay

Donna Summer and Barbra Streisand's 1979 single, 'No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)', earned Gold certification from the RIAA in both its 7" and 12" release formats on 11 February 1980, with the 7" version further gaining Platinum certification on 19 August 19 1997. The duet held the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the two weeks beginning 24 November 1979, as the fourth Hot 100 number-one single for each artist. Its two parent albums, Summer's double-LP compilation, On the Radio: Greatest Hits Volumes I & II, and Streisand's studio album, Wet, each enjoyed commercial success as well, both achieving Platinum certification from the RIAA, On the Radio charting at #1 on the Billboard 200 the week of 5 January 1980 and Wet peaking at #7 the week of 7 December 1979.
