The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

A l’œil nu, le tableau se présente dans un bon de conservation. Il est peint sur un panneau de chêne, constitué de trois planches, non parqueté.
Le panneau est parfaitement droit et on ne remarque aucun soulèvement de matière.
A l’œil nu, le tableau apparaît sous un vernis ancien, très encrassé.
A la lampe UV, il apparaît sous un vernis vert, épais, uniforme. On ne remarque pas de traces de restauration à la lampe, hormis quelques légers points dans les fonds.
Au revers, une ancienne attribution à F. Hals.
Dans un cadre doré 74,5 x 62,5 cm.

To the naked eye the painting is in a good overall condition. It is painted on an oak tree panel, made of three boards, uncradled. The painting is perfectly straight and we cannot see any paint lifting. The varnish is thick and dirty.
Under UV lightinh the painting is covered in a green coat of dirty varnish. We cannot see any restoration under UV lighting except few tiny restoration in the background.
We can read an old attribution to Frans Hals at the reverse.
In a gilt frame 74,5 x 62,5 cm.
