The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Fair overall condition. Superficial dirtiness. Revarnished at a certain stage. Stains, discolorations, wear, scratches, minor lacks and small tears to the vellum, especially along the edges. The vellum is coming unstuck at some places. All consistent with age and use.
Etat général satisfaisant. Salissures superficielles. Revernies à une certaine époque. Taches, décolorations, usures, griffures, petits manques et petites déchirures au parchemin, en particulier le long des arêtes. Légers décollements du parchemin à certains endroits.
