The sheet is hinged intermittently along the edges to the backing board and undulates slightly. The edges are deckled. Pin and staple holes are intermittently to the edges, presumably a vestige of the artist's working process. Tiny tears and minute losses are intermittently to the edge, predominantly at the lower edges. There is no apparent inpainting under ultraviolet light.
