The sheet is hinged at the upper corners to the backing board. The upper right edge of the sheet is deckled. Soft creases are to the corners, and a pinpoint spot of lifting is to the upper right corner, all visible underneath the mat. A linear surface irregularity is to the upper edge, visible underneath the mat. A few minute accretions are occasionally to the left edge; a pinpoint one is to the right lower edge; a small handling mark is to the left lower edge; and a small spot of discoloration is to the lower left edge, all visible underneath the mat. Faint discoloration is to the sheet, most notably to the edges, and a faint mat impression surrounds the image, visible underneath the mat. Several pinpoint spots of foxing are occasionally to the edges, mostly visible under ultraviolet light. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
