Compare with a similar painting of Krishna and Radha in the Cleveland Museum of Art (see L. Leach, Indian Miniature Paintings and Drawings, 1986, p. 242, no. 97), as well as an example from a Dasavarata series sold by Christie's, London on 12 June 2014, lot 157.

Superficial abrasions with associated losses in discrete areas, mostly at left edge, left corner, and in areas of gold paint with and composition, all visible upon firsthand inspection. Verso with staining at lower right corner, consistent with paint loss in lower left corner on recto; with a repair at lower right, and with remains of adhesive and tape carrier at top edge from previous mounting systems. Overall in decent condition.

Primary support mountain of route to secondary support, which is hinged into a window mat by top edge. Primary support with superficial dirt and staining overall, especially in top corners, also visible upon firsthand inspection.

Primary support mounted overall to secondary support, with areas of loss inpainted to match, as visible from verso through transmitted light. Some areas embrittled with loss and possible minor flaking, including skirt of seated figure, visible upon firsthand inspection.
