The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
One pair with elephant heads with clip-on backings and two small holes on the verso of each, one inscribed with “Joseph” on the verso: the circular pair with some nicks and abrasions; the third pointed pair with some minute nicks to the surface scattered overall: all visible in illustration or upon firsthand inspection.
